## Function: storageRead()

> **storageRead**(`key`): `string` | `null`

Reads the utf-8 string value from NEAR storage that is stored under the provided key.

### Parameters

• **key**: `string`

The utf-8 string key to read from storage.

### Returns

`string` | `null`
